Nursery rhymes; who comes up with these things?
Are kids satisfied with songs that feature a few cuddly animals?
Is it mandatory that they should not make sense?
Am I overreacting when I rather sing Tom Waits songs to my kids?

Who knows...

What I do know is that I have found the cow that is featured in this particular nursery rhyme:

A little cow and a calf
were trotting on the mead
when along came this really fat little pig
It said, it said: why not give the calf to me
No, said the cow, mooh, mooh, mooh
No, said the cow, mooh, mooh, mooh*

That's her, isn't it?! Boy, does she make me smile.
