Agamemnon's knife came down hard upon the young woman's pale breast. But it was not a young woman, it was a furry animal, a deer. Agamemnon staggered back, dropped the knife in awe and then, seeing his daughter climb upon deck unharmed, burst into tears.
'Father why are you crying?' the frail young woman asked.
King Agamemnon quietly hid himself in sobs of sorrow.
He couldn't very well tell her that he had just now been ready to butcher her, his own daughter, for nothing more than a favorable wind, now could he?
Those damned Gods and their games.
A bitter taste filled his mouth and he stopped crying as sudden as he had started. He got up, ignored his daughter, threw the dead deer aside and roared new orders over the ship’s deck.
This moment in his history was to be forgotten as soon as possible.
It was done, passed, water under the proverbial bridge, go, went, gone.

Except...
Except that our proud King made a tinsy winsy error in judgment.
Full of himself waging war upon Troy, he simply took the sudden appearance of the deer as a sign of good will from Artemis, towards himself. He completely overlooked the possibility that Artemis' goodwill might be geared towards his innocent daughter, rather than his holiness defying self. Ignorant fool...

When he came home after years of warfare and the capture of Troy, our hero thought it was high time for a bath. So he sat himself down in a hot tub and stupidly grinned at his lovely wife coming towards him dressed in nothing but a white sheet. Trophy after trophy, he thought, as she playfully threw the sheet over his head. He imagined her standing there nude and felt a familiar twinge in his penis. It was the last thing he ever felt as Clytemnestra, ignorant of the last minute miracle performed by Artemis so many years ago, started hacking away at her daughter murdering husband with a razor-sharp falcata, en passant conveniently clearing the way for her and her lover...
