You see, some days you just have to get away from it all. And I mean all of it. You know what I mean, right? Sure you do. Crawl under a rock, like a crab, unperturbed, unencumbered. Sleep a little, daydream while you’re at it, staring at the natural born ceiling, or with your eyes shut. It’s the sweetest pastime I can think of. The only thing that gets my goat, is that there is no real escaping, is there?! Not even here, in my favourite of all my little getaways. Always am I reminded of the fellow men I try to take a break from every now and then. They just won’t let me. When they are not present themselves with their noise pollution, stinking up the place with colognes and what not, they leave their marks, like cat piss in alleyways. Look right there, next to me. When I move my eyes from the mesmerizing patterns in this ancient, sedimentary rock and look to my left, what do I see? Right. Trash. Discarded Fanta bottles, in my sweet spot. What irony in a human life, no?! What irony.
